We think its important to continually ask the question "Who are we?" as your business grows, in that we always want to have a firm grasp on, well...who we are.
Most importantly, we're a mom-and-pop shop. We think its important to focus on this no matter our growth because we want to be able to offer personal customer service and for our customers to feel like we always have their back. We founded this company because we wanted normal, everyday folks to know they could afford custom tailored suiting--a product long considered 'elitest' and expensive-- and also offer the personalized service tailored suiting requires, as opposed to a faceless online order.
In the age of Amazon, its easy to get focused on the convenience of online ordering and not expect much human interaction. Its OK for machines to speed up the supply chain in everything we purchase and consume, but machines will never replace the feeling of dealing with another human. Thats why Jess and I personally handle every sales process and every customer.
"Who are we?" This can be a daunting question with no easy answer. But we'll never lose sight of that we are a couple who own a small business, one that is more a service business than a goods business.
